Aimee Jones

Aimee Jones B.A. (Hons)  Master in Fine Arts.

Aimee’s ongoing inspiration as an artist comes from the natural world around her and the places that offer a sense of escape from the noise and pace of everyday life. Her work explores elements of wildlife within the Welsh landscape, capturing and reimagining these encounters through the process of drawing.

A recurring subject in Aimee’s practice is the corvid, a creature she finds deeply beautiful, intelligent, and full of character. Their presence, energy, and sense of mystery have become a lasting influence on her expressive mark-making, creating a distinctive quality that runs throughout her work. Whatever the subject, Aimee’s artwork carries a subtle ‘crow-like feeling’ a sense of curiosity, movement, and connection with the natural world.
