Alison Ross

Alison Ross is a self-taught artist whose work moves between soft, painterly scenes and more defined, whimsical compositions. While the surface style shifts, each piece is rooted in quiet storytelling moments that feel suspended in time, often carrying a sense of stillness, mystery, or tenderness.

Recurring motifs of the sea and the companionship of animals reflect Alison’s fascination with connection, memory, and the beauty found in everyday life. Alongside painting, she creates narrative 3D and mixed-media pieces, bringing imagined scenes to life through hand-built elements and richly textured details.

Guided by intuition, Alison’s practice explores the space between memory, imagination, and emotion. Whether painted or sculpted, each work invites the viewer to pause, wonder about the story behind the image, and perhaps discover a fragment of their own story within it.
