C. Morys

Growing up on the Llyn Peninsula, close to Eryri National Park, inspired C. Morys’s deep love of nature, landscape and Welsh mythology. These early connections continue to influence her work today, as she seeks to capture a sense of wonder and magic and bring a little of that feeling into people’s homes.

After many years living away, C. Morys has returned to Gwynedd, where the surrounding landscapes and wildlife provide a constant source of inspiration. She works in both oils and watercolour, choosing oils for smaller landscapes and watercolour for larger works and wildlife.In recent years, she has begun painting outdoors more often, working directly from the landscape. For Morys, painting in the places that inspire her creates lasting memories and a deeper connection to each location.Her work reflects a strong love of the Welsh landscape and the stories, wildlife and sense of place that make it special.
