David Shiers

David is a Staffordshire based artist. Having worked in various studios as a Graphic Designer and exhibiting widely around the country, David has painted professionally since 2003. His paintings are all about capturing the light, atmosphere and essence of a subject. He has a fast and spontaneous approach to his paintings, producing work in an expressive and impressionistic style. His studio is based in Stone, Staffordshire.

Working in oils, and watercolour, his working process is mainly Plein Air also using watercolour sketches. Being a full time artist now gives him time to diversify and experiment with light and nature. David is also a member of the Wirral Society of Arts, WSA and the Society of Staffordshire Artists SSA.

In 2025 he attended a group of international artists in Stara Gazora, Bulgaria for a week as part of the 9th Simposium of art. He was also featured in The Artist & Illustrators magazine June 2023, The Liverpool Art Book, City through the life of its Artists. 2019. Lancashire life magazine April 2001.
