Growing up in Nigeria and seeing how the people repuurposed everyday and natural objects into adornment inspired my passion for upcycling. I love the idea of using disgarded tins to make something that can be worn and treasured.

I source my tins from charity shops car boot sales and get donations of old tins from freinds and family. These all line the walls of my studio which is where I draw my inspirationfrom the palette of colours, patterns and words that addorn the tins. 

Initially I clean off any rust or damage and then use punches and tinsnips to create the shape.

Finally to protect the patterns and designs a laquer is applied to any further damage befor assembling.
